This memoir is describing how I have the greatest friends ever. The image behind it is a picture of most (but not all) of my friends. The picture was taken a year ago when I started becoming friends with these great people. I did not perform any editing on this picture as I wanted to make sure you could see the bright and smiling faces of these wonderful people. For punctuation I just used one explanation point, because an explanation point shows excitement and I am very happy and excited that I am friends with these people. I put my font at the bottom so you could see both the picture as well as the words clearly. I chose a font that was in my mind sort of fun and laid back, like my friends! I chose the colour yellow for the font because yellow is a bright and fun colour which is perfect for the words and picture!

This memoir is showing how I try and always see the positive even in rough situations. I used the word sun instead of light to better connect with this picture. The picture is a picture I took of the sun during a walk with a friend in the summer. I did not do any editing on this picture as I wanted to show the natural beauty of the sky and sun already in the picture. For punctuation I used one explanation point to make it simple but to still show a positive side, as when I see an explanation point I see it as positive! I chose a font that was simple but fun! I placed the font at the top of the picture so you could still see the sun at bottom. I also chose the colour pink to match the colour of the sky by the sun, and so it stands out against the blue.

This memoir is showing how I literally have the biggest conscience ever! I can literally never do anything behind my parents back because I would just feel horrible and end up telling them anyways. I made the picture behind the words because I wanted to show in picture something I always say to people. I’m the type of person that thinks if I say “Sorry” everything will be fine. I guess I feel this way because when I do say “Sorry” I really mean it! I didn’t do any editing as I made the picture from scratch. I chose a period because I wanted to end the sentence on a quick and serious note, as a period is a serious end to a sentence to me. I chose the font because it was simple and looks a little like my writing. I chose the colour red because red is a serious colour, and to me the sentence is serious.

This memoir is showing how the most important thing in my world is my family. The picture behind the words is a picture of the front cover of our family scrapbook my sister made my mom. I didn’t do any editing as the picture is simple and didn’t require any editing. I chose a period to end my sentence because it’s simple, and I am very serious when I say how important my family is to me. I chose a fun font because my family is very fun and laid back! I also chose a white colour for the text because it stood out against the black in the picture.

This memoir is showing how much I hate it when someone hurts my sister! My sister is one of the most important people to me and it sickens me if someone hurts her. The picture behind the words is a picture of my sisters University grad photo. I didn’t do any editing on the photo as I wanted to show the colour in the photo. Even though I said before that I see explanation points as a positive symbol, I also see them as a way to get your point across in a strong manner, and that is why I used one in this picture. I chose a bolded font as I really wanted to get my point across in a stern way, that NOBODY can hurt her. I chose the colour white as it stood out nicely against the picture, but didn’t take away from the picture itself.

This memoir is a confession that I have never learned how to ride a bike! The picture behind the words is a picture of a bicycle I took in photography last year. For editing I chose to turn the picture black and white to keep it a on a mellow and maybe a little sadder note, as confessions are always something that you don’t really like to admit. For punctuation I used a period to keep things serious and simple. I chose a simple font that still looked nice and clean. I chose the colour blue because sometimes I am a little “blue” that I never learned how to ride a bike, as well as the colour stood out nice against the grey scale photo.

This memoir is showing that even though I am and have always been excited for the future and growing up; I am actually insanely scared to. The picture behind the words is a picture of two of my school photos the one on the left is of me in kindergarten and the one on the right is me this year in grade 11. I thought the picture would be fitting because it has shown how much I have grown up so far. For editing I decided to change the photo to black and white because it gave it this feeling of being scared and serious. Again I chose a period to end my sentence because I wanted to show the seriousness in the photo, as well as the words. I chose a simple black font because I didn’t want anything that stood out too much and took away from the picture.

This memoir is showing how much I get into one of my favourite T.V shows of all time. I really get into this show, and always try and understand the story lines as well as the characters themselves. I chose to take a picture of the show as I am watching it for the photo behind the words. I didn’t edit the picture at all because I wanted to highlight the characters in the show. For punctuation I used a period to keep it simple as well as a coma to break the sentence up. I feel like the coma makes the whole sentence role off the tongue nicely. The font I chose is very simple which is nice because I didn’t want to take away from the picture. I chose the colour orange for the words, as the logo for the show is in orange.

Favourite Foods- Nutella And Fruit

I love eating Nutella and Fruit together! The combination makes the tastes of both food stand out! It is the newest combination- It's the new Peanut Butter & Jelly! :)

Favourite Movie- Across the Universe

"Across the Universe" Is my favourite movie of all time! Though it has some very unusual moments it all adds to the artistic sides of the movie! I love all the aspects of the movie especially the fact that it is all done to The Beatles music and the era! Even the characters reflect The Beatles. The movie also talks about subjects such as war, and how many people wanted a revolution and didn't want the soldiers to go to Vietnam!  The whole movie is wonderful and I strongly suggest watching it!

Digital Footprint

This is my digital footprint! It includes what I was interested in on the Internet and technology while I was in middle school as well what I am interested in now! Some of my interests have not changed for example Facebook, while some are very different for example how much my phone means to me! Back then my phone wasn't as important as y hone is now. I feel that technology is a very big part of my life and that I continually use it everyday!

Reading/Techno Survey

Reading Survey
To me, the best book I have ever read is called “Fly on the Wall” by E. Lockhart. It is a small teen novel that my sister studied in university. I enjoyed the novel because it is interesting and funny, not to mention it is short. The reason I liked the book is because it caught my attention quickly and made me want to continue reading. Personally I am not a huge fan of reading books, but when I do read, I love the little movie that plays in my head as I read. When the author describes characters or scenes I enjoy picturing in my head what is happening. Besides books, I always read my Twitter and Facebook feed. I also occasionally read the newspaper as I am interested in global issues/events as well as the hockey news. I am also constantly checking my favourite hockey team the “Pittsburgh Penguins” and will read any news on them. I enjoy reading my Twitter and Facebook feeds because it relaxes me and gives me an escape. This semester my goal is to read at least three books. I also want to challenge my reading skills to further develop them. My book recommendation for your library would be “Fly on the Wall” because even though it is short it is interesting and funny; as well it presents a positive message.

Techno Survey
I have an iPhone 4s with full internet access. I have my own laptop, but at the moment I take the school bus to school and it would be difficult to bring the laptop to school. I do not have an E-Reader. I do have a twitter feed that I use to follow celebrities, as well as friends and people who share equal interests as me. I do not have another blog besides this one, but I do have a Tumblr that just reflects my personality. I also have an Instagram and Facebook account that I use frequently. I use the Facebook to see what friends are up to, and I use the Instagram to post pictures of events, and friends and myself. I am interested in technology as it gives me a small escape, for example going on YouTube to watch a video can be a perfect relaxer. I am also interested in learning about new technology and programs as one day I may have to use them.  For example I learned about Snapchat, I think it is a great app that makes it an easy and fun way to talk to friends in a different way than just over text.
